love lists like these and your approach and reasoning behind your picks, I don't have a podcast but am tempted to start one just to debate you on these however
That’s a heck of a reason to start a podcast. 😉 For me, the debate is part of the fun, even internally. I could easily write this article on another day and end up with a completely different list. Thanks for reading!
That was tongue well in cheek of course, one interview a podcast does not make. Although I've had the impulse for a while now. I used to do a podcast talking about football (soccer) history that was a nice little time sink and somewhat artistic outlet.
I listened to your interview on the Hall of Very Good podcast, really enjoyable. I'm a bit younger than you it seems, more the Mighty Ducks crowd. The podcast reminded me of another childhood favorite ("Little Giants" with Rick Moranis and Ed O'Neill). That one probably doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Just seeing the poster on IMDB now, does a decent job to set up the premise but kinda spoils it too?
Really enjoyed this read - Rocky was a bold choice in how understated it is, I’m impressed they went with it. And I haven’t seen 42 but good choice for number 1 as now I want to see it!
This was an absolutely fantastic read! As a big fan of ‘the little things’ when it comes to sports and movies like artwork, score bugs on tv, cool promo videos for sporting events etc, this article was right up my street. I’m actually going to link this in my next newsletter and I’ll have a think about my fav poster and share it there too. 😊

As a sports graphic designer I enjoyed this post immensely
Glad you enjoyed it Grace! Thanks for reading.

Thanks James, glad you enjoyed it. Can't wait to see what you decide is your personal fave.
Everybody Wants Some
Yes, it's definitely a "baseball movie".
Actually, I haven't seen that one but I need to remedy that. Thanks for reading Jimmy!
